All new animal users must attend the core training class. UConn Health’s IACUC does not recognize viewing videotapes or CITI trainings as adequate training for initial training. All new animal users must complete initial training. There are no exceptions to this requirement.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION DUE TO COVID-19
The IACUC is offering initial animal user training in an on-line, remote learning format. In order to complete the initial animal user training in this on-line format, you still need to “register for a class”. Only then will you be sent the links to complete the training. If you have any questions, please contact the IACUC office at email@example.com. PLEASE NOTE: You must complete 100% of each training module (there will be 3) to get credit for them.
Registration for training classes is mandatory. People who are not registered for a class will not be allowed to participate in the training class. Registration forms require an e-signature for assurances – ONLY THE INDIVIDUAL REGISTERING FOR THE CLASS CAN SUBMIT HIS/HER OWN REGISTRATION FORM.
To sign up for a Training Event for working with animals at UConn Health only, please complete the online IACUC training registration form. Please do not use nicknames on this registration form. The classes are on-line at this point, so don’t put in any training “date” on the form.
The DEADLINE for submitting a registration form is noon on the Friday prior to the training – NO EXCEPTIONS.
If you have questions, please contact the IACUC Office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
