Important Updates

 

**IMPORTANT MESSAGES TO UCONN HEALTH RESEARCH COMMUNITY WILL APPEAR HERE **  

September 2, 2026

From approximately 8:15 this morning to noon, the IRIS system will be OFFLINE as it undergoes a software update to version 13.01.  

IRIS will NOT be available during this time (approximately 2-4 hours).

  • Users will not be able to access the IRIS system and users logged into the system will lose connection and work
  • New study submissions or submission forms for existing studies will not be accessible for completion.

After the update is completed, the following resources are available for assistance:

IRIS Update Help Sessions:  The HSPP will be holding ‘live’ drop-in help sessions (virtually via Teams) at the dates/times below to help users with questions on the new update. To join a session, click on the session link below for the corresponding date:

August 2026

The IRIS system (currently version 11.02) will be updated to version 13.01 on September 2, 2026.  This update will include changes to how IRIS looks and minor changes to the navigation.  There are important bug fixes in the software update, as well as additional features that may be implemented in the future.

Please plan ahead with your submissions – the IRIS software will be offline briefly on the morning of 9/2 while we make the update; more info will be forthcoming in future announcements.

**NEW** Practice in Test Environment: Current IRIS users are invited to visit our Test environment to see and experience the update in an interactive manner.  Visit imedtest.uchc.edu and log in with your current IRIS username and password.  Once in IRIS, you can view the tutorial, and practice with a submission for your studies (data in Test mirrors our production environment as of June 2026).  

**NEW** Live Demonstration Sessions: The HSPP will be holding ‘live’ (virtual via Teams) demonstration sessions on August 31 and September 1 to walk users through the new update. To sign up for those sessions, click on the links below:
